Tony's STEPS, Inc. provides assistance for substance abuse recovery
**********************************
Our organization, in partnership with thesilentepidemic.org, provides financial assistance for rent and start-up fees to people who have completed a substance abuse detox program and have been approved and accepted into a sober living recovery house. Funding is provided to people seeking residency in a peer-led group recovery home such as Oxford House and Stop the Heroin Recovery Home. Both houses are self-supported, drug-free living environments; they offer no direct treatment or clinical services, however, all residents attend 12-Step meetings and are encouraged to work with trained professionals who specialize in the field of addiction recovery.
If you are in need of financial assistance for sober living housing, you can complete an application on the following website:
Tony's STEPS, Inc. is a New Jersey 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization. We are committed to giving people, who are struggling with addiction, a voice to break through the silence of shame and stigma. One person can make a huge difference for someone struggling with addiction by providing monetary help and/or food, clothing, and basic necessities. However, addictions cause problems that one individual alone cannot solve. It takes a team of individuals to bring about positive changes that can allow communities to heal.
Going into a sober living home, after leaving an addiction treatment center, can make the difference between sobriety and relapse
IN ADDITION TO HELPING PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISORDERS, TONY'S STEPS MAKES DONATIONS SUCH AS PERSONAL CARE ITEMS, FOOD, AND CLOTHING TO THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS:
- veterans at Home for the Brave, Camden, NJ
- The National Life Center, Inc., Woodbury, NJ
- The Ronald McDonald House, Camden, NJ
- Volunteers of America, Collingswood, NJ
- & the homeless in our community
APPROXIMATELY 130 AMERICANS DIE EVERY DAY
FROM OPIOID ADDICTION
OVER 500,000 PEOPLE ARE HOMELESS IN AMERICA
1 IN 15 VETERANS HAVE A SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISORDER
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

"Be the change that you want to see in the world" - M. Gandhi
Serenity
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.
Praying is the most effective way to invite God to work miracles in your life.
